# Compare property valuers

Compare information about providers of property valuation and choosing valuation providers in the Netherlands.

## Start with the purpose

The right comparison depends on why you need a valuation. A report for a mortgage can have different acceptance and validation requirements from an estimate for a sale, inheritance or private planning. Write down the purpose, the property type, the intended recipient and the date you need the report.

## A practical comparison checklist

Compare providers against the same questions:

- Who performs the work, and who reviews it?
- Is the provider registered for the relevant type of property?
- Does the quoted report match the purpose and receiving organisation?
- Are inspection, research, validation, VAT and travel listed clearly?
- Which documents are needed, and what could delay delivery?
- How are conflicts of interest and corrections handled?

## Check evidence, not slogans

The NRVT explains how registered valuers, professional rules and areas of practice work. For a mortgage, ask the lender or adviser which report and validation route they accept. NHG publishes its own conditions for reports used with an NHG-backed loan. A low quote or a prominent badge does not answer those questions by itself.
